Domestic Violence Support

Sarah, a young mother, came to Abrams Healthcare after enduring a year of domestic abuse. She was emotionally exhausted and uncertain about how to rebuild her life. Our team immediately connected her with trauma-informed counselling, helping her regain her confidence and sense of self-worth.

Recognizing Sarah’s desire for independence, Abrams Healthcare’s employment services team worked closely with her to identify her skills and career goals. Through career coaching and job readiness training, including resume building, administrative skills, and interview preparation, we helped Sarah secure a position as an administrative assistant. This job provided her with a stable income and the ability to support her son.

While Sarah focused on her new career, our legal advocacy team supported her through a complex custody and divorce case. With our guidance, she successfully obtained a protective order and full custody of her child, ensuring a safer and more stable future for her family.

Today, Sarah is thriving in her new role, building an independent and fulfilling life for her family. Her story highlights the transformative power of empowerment through employment and underscores Abrams Healthcare’s commitment to helping survivors heal and regain control of their futures.
